About Sandra...
Born in Nebraska, this Southern belle grew up at different times in Texas (where she maintains the best barbeque is) and North Carolina, and graduated from high school in Korea. "My dad worked for IBM, which is really an acronym for 'I've Been Moved'" she jokes. She then went to Duke for undergrad, followed by a PhD in Neurosciences at UVA and is currently finishing a post-doctoral fellowship studying the FMRP protein at Brown University. Her dream as a child was to be an NFL football player, but now is trying to decide between teaching, research or even seminary. Her favorite food used to at one time be steak, but now it's impossible to nail down a favorite since she says she likes everything. Her parents both live in Korea and she has two sisters, Carol and Debbie, who are teaching in Korea and studying bioengineering at Duke respectively.

About Dave...
Born in Atlantic City, NJ, this country boy is basically a Midwesterner at heart, having lived at the same home in Bloomfield Hills, MI since 1979. If you haven't heard the story, he's the crazy guy who went to both law school and med school, and is now gearing up to start a residency in orthopedics. Pretty much any combination of sports and food (except cucumber) will make him happy, and this, combined with his love of praise and prayer, led his law school buddies to dub him a "combination of Ned Flanders and Homer Simpson." His parents still live in Bloomfield Hills, and he has an older sister Susie who is moving to Arizona with her husband Steve and their son Chan-hi, and a younger sister Sarah who has finished her first year of law school.
